This is Thai food that will get your taste buds and neurons firing on all cylinders for a smooth ride right into dessert. Pam and Rath Lanpouthakoun's distinct menu reflects Pam's Thai and Rath's Laotian roots, wowing diners in ways many a downtown restaurant has not. No less than 13 appetizers grace the menu, including  a mild "crab in the bag" and a wild escargot number served with garlic bread for lopping up the luscious sauce.

"SiRi" means to make better, and you'll understand the translation when you order "crazy catfish" -- steamed egg noodles topped with catfish in a stimulating basil, garlic and lemon grass sauce. Cool it with a bottle of Singha beer or a hefty Mai Tai while you admire the Thai furniture, crafts and place settings. Finally, try the "tropical delight" for dessert, brimming with exotic fruit and wondrous flavor.
